Influenced by Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Massive Attack and many other bands, Etherstrings is playing electronic music. The band was founded in 1995 by Helen Stepanova and Yuri Khonelidze, and at that time their main addiction was art/prog rock; this resulted in music they played, which also had elements of heavy metal and chamber music. The current incarnation of the band was born in 1998, when Helge and Yuri recorded the album Runology and started working with more samples and synths. The album was released under the band's own label H-Vox Music. In 1999 another album, Season Of Rime, was recorded and released on H- Vox Music as a limited edition CD. In April 2001 the members of the band started participating the online recording sessions at ES Studio virtual recording studio for musicians and graphic artists. The CD single Priestess Of Candlelight was released August, 2001 on H-Vox Music. The band is currently busy recording and mixing last tracks for the forthcoming album, 7 Songs For Etherstrings. One track, Heavens Cry, is included on the CD , a joint release through PandaPOP, Synthpopalooza, and Ninthwave.
